Aftershoot’s $1 Million ‘Create Together’ Fund Supports Photo Events
Aftershoot, known for its AI-powered image editing software for photographers, has announced a $1 million Create Together fund to support the photography community and help enable up to 750 photography events through an initial wave of grants.
The Aftershoot Create Together Fund is accepting grant applicants from today, July 23, through August 23. The large fund will provide grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 for photography events in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, and continental Europe.
The company says the grants will help support up to 750 photography events through the end of 2025. Aftershoot says the financial assistance, which it describes as a sponsorship, will provide money for venue rentals, equipment, models, props, and more. Possible events include things like meetups, photowalks, model shoots, and workshops.
“We’re super excited to launch this initiative. Working closely with photographers, we understand the power of community and the kind of impact it has in their growth,” says Harshit Dwivedi, Aftershoot’s founder. “We want to support photographers who inspire and learn from each other, and this fund is a step towards empowering them to grow together.”
Aftershoot co-founder Justin Benson adds, “The Create Together Fund is our way of giving back to the photography community. We want to help photographers not only hone their craft but also build networks and share their passion with others. This initiative is about fostering growth, creativity, and connection within the photography world.”
The application process is open to photographers, photo community leaders, and educators. The grant program is available to photographers and those working with photographers, including active professional shooters, emerging leaders, and teachers.
Those interested in the grant program can apply through the Aftershoot Create Together Fund website. Further, Aftershoot says that future application cohort dates will be shared later.
“Aftershoot’s mission in establishing this fund is to support photographers in building and growing thriving photography communities. The company invites all passionate photographers, educators to apply and join in sharing their knowledge and experience with others,” the company explains in a press release.
